Point your ship between N and S, this will give you plus. Between S and N, will give you negative. Although it is always the same, but it looks differently due to different galaxy lighting. It's best to look at the color when you look at it in the ship's inventory. Theory: no normal S-class calculations are happening in ship waves - it's just C-, B-, and A- plus a single Exotic in the mix for each wave. Thus, poor star systems seem to manifest the exotic more quickly. Lol its ok to be wrong sometimes.
