If you are trying to use Fextralife for a wiki for Nioh 2, be aware that they generally are nowhere near as good on info as they are for the Dark souls series and that they basically have ZERO usable info beyond listing of some of the set bonuses and the kodama locations for the main game.

The statuses purity and corruption aren't that good in my opinion because there aren't enough ways to boost accumulation on a target. However ki damage based attacks are very good. Once an enemy, usually bosses, are out of ki, you can deal incredible burst damage while they recoil.Personally i use water ( imbued on weapon) and poison in NG and use purity talismans when the enemy is resistant to water. But when i ll reach the end game, i may switch to fire/poison and may use a corrupted weapon cause the effect of nerfing the enemy max ki is powerful and works well with a build focused on ki damage.
